Gangbusters (1935 - 1957)

Originally known as "G-men" with Chevrolet as its sponsor.
Gangbusters was known to be one of the best-remembered of all the police shows. Lasting from 1935 until 1957. This show gave your mind an action packed 30 minute adventure.

Already in the radio scene it was Mr Phillip H Lord who's idea it was to use actual crime cases. Cases about real criminals, cops and the FBI. Mr Lord went right to Washington, and got the tacit approval of J. Edgar Hoover himself to develop a show that used only closed cases (thus getting a good outcome) and had a solid law-enforcement slant.  The pace was fast, the action was real and sometimes violent, the crimes and criminals were acted doing what was written about in the papers.

Personally I find this show to be one of my favorite crime/detective shows. The sound effects are in your face, the quality of the actors are top notch. If you are into action packed goodness i highly recommend GANGBUSTERS.
